The hand that's not clutched in Eris' closes the door behind them as Daniel follows the goddess into his apartment. The place is empty except for his fish, and if they're surprised to see a beautiful blonde precede him into the living room, it's impossible to tell from their faces.
"Uh, this is my apartment...kitchen, living room, dining room of sorts...bathroom..." Daniel points out all the rooms as he speaks their name, then blushes faintly, pointing behind them. "And that would be my bedroom we just came out of, if it wasn't the bar instead."

"Always."

And Daniel kisses her. Sweet, tender. It's not a demand, but it's also not really a request. It's a statement to which she should feel free, but not obligated, to respond.

After a moment, she pulls back, meeting his gaze. And then she leans in again, and kisses him again, and while it's still sweet and tender this time it's more than just a hint.
And Eris stops, and pulls back again, completely this time, shutting her eyes and covering them with her forearm, leaning back against the arm of the sofa.

She sighs again, a little, and sits up, scooting back on the couch, and takes his hand lightly, although her head is still ducked and her eyes are still closed.
"Silly, silly Eris."

He's clutching her hand perhaps a little more tightly than he ought.

"Because I didn't realize that maybe I'm not quite ready for you. I like you more than I should, Daniel."

She sighs, and sits back again, shoving her hair out of her eyes with her free hand.
"You deserve better than that, 's all."

"... thank you for being honest with me, Daniel. I'd... like to try, but... I need to think about this. And... there are a few people I'd like to talk to, as well... like my brother... I just... we need time. I'm sorry, Daniel, I should... I should go." She leans over and kisses him softly, a brush of her lips against his.
"You'll find me again soon, my Daniel."
And she's gone, leaving the taste of apples on his lips, and the faintest sound of harps still in the air.
